Hailing from Sydney, Castlecomer have already made a significant impact on the Australian indie music scene, and have done incredible work promoting and performing their music across the country. The close-knit group is made up of two brothers, two cousins and their best friend, who deliver a unique form of alternative guitar pop ready made for huge dance parties and crowd sing-a-longs.
Although they have been making music together since childhood, the five established Castlecomer in or about 2010. The group released its debut EP “Danny’s Den” in March 2012 at one of Sydney’s premier live music venues, The Gaelic Theatre in Surry Hills to a sell-out crowd of 600.
They have advanced in leaps and bounds since then, thrilling audiences with their live performances. Still in their 20's, the five-piece performed some 500 shows over three years in Australian pubs, clubs and premier live entertainment venues, building their home-town fan base with their powerful tunes and five-part harmonies. To date, Castlecomer has shared the stage with to Australian acts including Ball Park Music, Last Dinosaurs, The Griswolds, Faker, Winter People, Underlights and Mitzi among others.
In 2015, Castlecomer decided to 'take music seriously' and front-man and lead vocalist Bede Kennedy wrote 50 songs in 6 months resulting in an EP "All of the Noise" which has garnered at least 2 million streams on Spotify in under a year led by a catchy hit single "Fire Alarm" which has also charted on US Alternative Radio.
Castlecomer showcased their music in the US at this year’s SXSW in Austin Texas, in an energy driven live performance which made an incredible impact on audiences and industry alike.
